About The Glowhow

The Glowhow is a site about beauty: defining it, finding it, creating it. If you find happiness in the perfect fuchsia lipstick, you reject the notion of a “right” way to be beautiful, and you believe that beauty talk should be smart and fun, hello. We’re going to get along just fine.

Annie Tomlin — that’s me. I’m a writer and editor living in New York. I used to be the beauty director of POPSUGAR and Refinery29 — not at the same time, of course! — and so I’ve spent the better part of a decade swimming in beauty products. (Not complaining.) I’ve also written for publications such as Vogue.com, Cosmopolitan, Elle.com, xoJane, Ms., Nylon, Bust, Punk Planet, Time Out, and Oprah.com. I write, take pictures, and generally make the Glowhow doughnuts.
