Shave me closer, tiny razor

venus-snap-razor-review

Why are razors so expensive? Well, I don’t know, but I do know this: If you cheap out and buy the generic brand, you will nick yourself and wind up foraging around for a styptic pencil, and eventually you’ll wish you hadn’t bought the cheapest possible razor. Sorry, but it’s true. (I speak from experience, having regretted impulse buys of both Walgreens brand and Bic Soleil disposables. Cheap in all senses of the term!)

So, when it comes to shaving, spend a few more bucks (if you can) for the ones that work without tearing up your skin in the process. Venus is always a reliable brand, and now the razor is available in the tiniest, cutest little travel version: the Venus Snap razor. I’m not joking when I say that it’s literally about the size shown in this picture. The idea is that you can tote it around in its wee plastic case for quick and easy shaving on the go. (Read: to the gym, on vacation.)

It takes any normal Venus cartridge and is surprisingly easy to maneuver. But really, don’t be surprised if you find yourself cupping the Snap and cooing, “Who’s a cute little razor? You are! YOU ARE!”

Not that I would know anything about that.
